i’m told we are leaving tomorrow morning for a trip away. it’s to be a surprise & i have no idea where we are going. i do know we are driving, that its not too far, no one else is going with us, & i need to bring a bathing suit. it’s fun to have someone plan a trip for you. but it’s the surprise factor that throws me. actually, i dislike surprises very much. i like to know what i am getting myself into & i like to have an appropriate outfit. this is probably no fun & maybe even dull. but it’s the truth. once s threw me what was supposed to be a surprise birthday party in budapest & i called every restaurant in town to find where the reservation was being held. he was less than impressed with my nancy drew ways but at least i had a great dress that fit the venue. and thank goodness i did because it was way dressier of a place than i had imagined. so today i’m packing my cutest things & hoping its either by the beach or in acity. i’ve got outfits for those. i’m hoping its not an adventurous journey- i don’t have any adventurous outfits & i don’t camp. my friends were joking that it was going to be dollywood.god help me. i hate not knowing. at least if i knew it was going to be bad i could practice my fake excited face. in any case, i’ll be back with details soon

Bayne took me on a surprise trip to the beach one year and packed for me. He had the bright idea to pack all things he’d never seen me wear, for variety. You can guess the reason these things were never worn… I felt like an idiot the whole time. The right outfit makes a difference!
